HOOPER, Pauline Elizabeth (née Yorke)….

We sadly announce the death of Pauline Hooper on June 2, 2020. Pauline is survived by Lorne her husband of 66 years, her son Philip (Linda), granddaughters Claire and Elizabeth Tschirhart (Peter), as well as a sister-in-law Margaret Yorke. She was predeceased by her beloved son Stephen, her brothers Jack and Keith and her parents William and Mary (Mayno) Yorke.

Pauline was a teacher and a Brownie/Girl Guide Leader. She was dedicated to cultivating an attractive flower garden that sourced her material for fresh flower arrangements. This interest was expanded by her 50-year membership and past presidency of the Garden Club of London. While the gardens were dormant, Pauline took pleasure in the sport of curling.

Pauline was always happy to have friends and family for a chat and a visit. She was an excellent cook, and many enjoyed a fine dinner at her table. There were many foods that were "just Grandma"… Grandma Muffins, Grandma Jam, Grandma Sandwiches to her family's delight.

In her memory, Pauline would encourage her family, friends, and neighbours to continue seeing ways to thoughtfully, in their daily activities, do things for others which make great differences and bring joy. She repeatedly remembered events of this nature that had made a difference for her in the many phases of her life. Thanks.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will occur in Pauline's garden at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com
