All of my sympathy reaches out to hug the Evans clan. Lee was an example of hospitality and patience and good humour—practical to the bone but those bones were made stronger by a hint of mischief marrow. I still hold Port Elgin visits close to my heart and it feels like just yesterday Lee was giving me some side eye while I feebly tried to win some kind of game (croquet, Scrabble) with a G&at in hand.
