We are so grateful for the investment Harold and Greta made serving at Forest Cliff. It is a legacy that is still changing young lives. Thinking of your family during your time of loss.

The first time Andy and I met Harold and Greta was September 1988. We had just been transferred to London, Ontario from Edmonton.
We were the last ones to enter the church and this lovely couple met us at the door. Greta dressed in a navy dress and her big navy hat, Harold in his yellow, cream colored suit and white shoes. Greta "welcome to Byron!" She made so much of Annie who was 2 years old and Craig who was 5 years old. " You
just have to meet my daughter Cathy and her husband Kevin and my three grandchildren. You will love them and your children will have so much fun with her boys". They made us feel like family and welcomed us with open arms that Sunday morning. We felt like we had come home. That was the beginning of the friendship that lasted with them and their family which included David and Sheila. As soon as they knew Andy played organ and piano, well history was made
in that church with Cathy and Andy. Greta and Harold loved the music they created. The corn roasts at the Penfounds, the get togethers, always with love from their family. We have been so blessed by their love for each other, the church family, the dedication to Forest Cliff Camp. They loved hearing about camp from the kids as my children and the Penfound children attended camp together in their younger years, even tho we had moved away. Our friendship with their family has remained a constant in our lives.
Your Mom and Grandma is making beautiful music in heaven! Can you imagine Harold
saying to Greta " What took you so long?"
My condolences to Cathy , Kevin
and your family, and to David and
Sheila. Sending you lots of love
and prayers. Edie

Both Greta and Harold were very special people to us. We met them when our children were babies and they were so kind and welcoming to them when we were at their place. Greta was a wonderful friend and mentor and her never ending smile lit up the world. Our whole family loved them both. We had no grandparents in town so Greta and Harold were our childrens' surrogate grandparents. We are sure that they have reunited in heaven. Good bye to a very special lady. we love you.

Our first meeting was summer 1963 at FCC and from that day on greetings were always hugs. We had so much respect for Greta and Harold because of their love for Jesus expressed through their love for campers and counsellors and staff at FCC. So much that we just laughed when we found our personals filled with confetti when spending our honeymoon in the boathouse upstairs during the summer of 1965.
That friendship never waned and we look forward to reunion in heaven. They'll be heading up the FCC praise and cheering section!
Condolences to the family - especially Dave and Cathy. But you KNOW where she is which is so much better!

I was very saddened to hear of Greta’s passing away on Thanksgiving. I was so thankful to have had Greta as my friend for 51 years. No words can express the caring person that she was. My daughter Michelle spent many weeks enjoying Forest Cliff Camp. Greta will be missed and remembered .

Our most sincere and deepest sympathy to the family. We know that she is with the Lord and heading up the social meet and greet up in heaven. Greta was an exceptional woman, friend and mentor. Greta was all accepting. She never judged and always believed in you and the possibilities of you. She walked the walk and never waivered in her cheerfulness and always gave freely a warm smile and hug.
Just hearing Greta's voice made you smile and your heart lighter. Without knowing it, Greta modelled how to be a loving wife, good friend and wise parent. Just by being herself, she shared a strong testimonial commitment to her Saviour Lord. She helped some of our kids experience Forest Cliff Camp. Greta and Harold were the reason we made BCC our home church. They influenced our hearts. For that we are truly grateful. With much love and respect, Anita & Jeff and family.

To the family of Greta,
Such lovely memories of your Mum at BCC. She was always elegant but more important she was kind and thoughtful to all. She would beam when any of her grandchildren were participating or presenting..such pride she had in her children and grandchildren. My sympathy to you all and such a comfort that she is with her Lord and Saviour.

Our prayers are with all the family today as you say goodbye to a loving mother and grandmother and great-grandmother.. Greta was such a special lady and I have such wonderful memories of her. She was a strong woman who probably could do anything she set her mind to. I know her strength came from the Lord who she loved dearly.
May Jesus wrap His loving arms around each and everyone of you today and rejoice in the fact that Greta is now home with Jesus and Harold!
Love and many prayers.

With her family, we grieve the loss of a grand lady.

We will remember the stylish and elegant Greta who was always cordial and caring. Her kind words always made us feel cared for, encouraged, supported and accepted. Harold and Greta were a wonderful example of how life should be lived - while God and family were their priorities, they loved to share with others.

With her family, we celebrate the grand reunion in Heaven with her Lord!

Our first experience with the Jacksons was at Forest Cliff Camp when Brian was a camper. We later got to know Greta and Harold at West Park Church. Greta was always the model of style and graciousness. Our condolences Dave, Cathy and families.

I've known dear Greta & Harold since late 1940's before they were married. A wonderful loving and giving couple. Greta became a mentor to several of us young girls. She became famous for her chocolate cake with date filling. She will continue to be missed.
