To the family Dorothy, Brian and Steve, Anne and I express our deepest sympathies to your loss. I started in the field of accountancy in 1974 at Ford, Keast, Giles & Philips. Jerry and I did a lot of work together as a team. He was an excellent coach and mentor. We did many audits for various businesses from Hanover, Niagara on the Lake and west to Windsor. One quick tale, we were at a farm to count cattle on one audit. There were approximately 35-40 beef cattle. Our job was to count them. The plan was to get them in the barn, herd them out the other entrance and count them as they came out. Perfect, right, sound simple enough. All was going well and we had counted about 15% of the herd, when a huge clap of thunder rang out. Well you can picture the cattle took off the running in a stampede and we tried our best to count as fast as we could. After they had all ran into the field. We both looked as each and said simultaneously 37 is what I counted. We has many other weird audit stories. God bless everyone and be safe and start healthy.
