Pauline was a favourite teacher. She taught me in Grades 3 &4. She was also a supportive Brownie leader. Pauline lead by example. She was always kind, considerate and respectful of others. She helped shape many young Parkhill lives. Pauline made a difference. She is remembered with fondness.
My sincere condolences to her family.

Mr. Hooper, I was very saddened to read of your dear wife Pauline's passing. Sixty-six years is a remarkable lifetime together. Reading her obituary I can see the wonderful legacy that she has left behind with your family and those she taught over the years.
We were all so very lucky to teach in what really seems now like the golden years of education!
My warmest condolences at this sad time.

The Yorkes were close friends of my parents and Pauline was my mother's attendant at her wedding in 1950, all most likely the result of her time teaching in Parkhill. I have happy memories of meeting she and Lorne occasionally over the years. To make the circle even smaller, my husband was raised on Duchess Ave and was paper boy to the Hoopers on Lockyer. My sympathy to you all.

From 1950 onwards, for several decades, my parents operated a Bakery just a few doors north of Bill Yorke’s Shoe Store. Pauline was on staff at the Parkhill Memorial School where my siblings and I attended. In the late 1950s or early 1960s, when the Yorke Estate Sale was held, I was fortunate to purchase the marble top 4piece bedroom suite which has journey with me through my life for the past 60 years. I extend sincere sympathy to Lorne and the family at this time of loss.
