Jim was my boss for several years in the Field Audit Section for Revenue Canada! Our team consisted of Bob Keers, Saru Jajal, Jerry Rozek, Doug Aitkinson and Garth Reeves. We always had fun on road trips - enjoying meals and alcohol! If we were in Sarnia on a road trip Jim would be driving to Port Huron for Chicken in the Rough restaurant and more fun at the country and Western Bar! Since I was a relatively new auditor Jim was always helpful especially in interviews with accountants! His speciality was net worth audits and it was not long before many of my audits proceeded along this way! In my mind he was a very good team leader and I have many good memories of those field audit days! After he retired we use to remember those good old days and I tried to get him out of the retirement homes but Parkinson’s disease was taking its toll of Jim! In any event I have had many good memories of Jim and I will miss him!

PS - I should add that Jim’s wife Donna was a good friend of My wife Christina??

Jim's Donna was Pauline's cousin on the Groat side of the family. We will always remember them both as kind gentle souls. Hopefully Jim is now happily reunited with Donna and past all suffering. Condolences to Jamie, Kerrie-Lynn, Kathy-Joe and their families.

Jim was one of the finest professionals that I ever had the pleasure of working with at the Canada Revenue Agency. Jim was low-key, firm, but fair when dealing wih the public. He was a credit to his profession and to his family. Those that he leaves behind knew of the undying respect from those that worked for him and those that he worked for. Thanks Jimmy for being my friend. I am proud to have worked and laughed with you.

Dear Kerri-Lynn, Kathy-Jo, Jamie & family; Thank you for the beautiful service of celebration for your Dad, Jim on Wednesday. It was such a great tribute to his life and you planned so well. The young readers were great telling us the scriptures. My heart goes out to you so young without both parents. You are in my thoughts so much and I am praying you will be comforted and strengthened by Our Lord. Westview will never be the same without Jim & Donna. God Bless.
