Susan Day
(Thursday, September 27, 2012)

I first met Sue many years ago when we were in high school, although we attended different schools, and I was aware of most of her achievements following high school, and I know that the city of London was always very proud of Sue and all her accomplishments as a top notch golfer! When Sue was admitted to the nursing home where I work,we became reaquainted and we used to enjoy remembering people and events together from our earlier years and sharing a good laugh now and then. It was always my pleasure and honour to be one of Sue's caregivers and I will always keep memories of Sue in my heart.Sue was a beautiful person who will always be loved and missed by me.

I was Sue's lawnmower and chainsaw guy in Bayfield, Ont.
She bought me an Allan Jackson C.D. specifically for a tune called "The Little Man"bemoaning the demise of small business, (like mine) with the advent of Big Box Stores.
I remember her kindness, but mostly I'll remember that we always had a few laughs when she came to my shop.

Sue was a good friend and great golf teacher at Highland Golf Club.

Joyce R. MacKinnon
(Friday, September 28, 2012)

Sue played the roles of best golf instructor, dynamic leader of women's golf and committed friend. Sue led golf trips to the Dominican Republic and Mexico which were so memorable as she joined in during all the social events. I followed her to three women's leagues she formed. We shared happy times together even after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour when she was in Grandview Lodge and Vic Hospital. She was a fighter with a passion for life and happiness. She valued her sister Trish and spoke proudly of Jake and Greg. My sympathy to the families. Joyce

I was so sorry to hear about your mom's death. She was a great lady. I went to high school with her and she was always a great athlete and very gracious. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I first met Sue when I was a junior playing in the London and District Championships. Her reputation was, to say the least, intimidating! As the team Captain Sue was a terrific example for us and taught us to fight and persevere which led us to victory that year. She was a dedicated and focused athlete and gave a great deal of herself to the game and later to her students as a CPGA Professional. She was a fine example for many.
My sincere condolences to her family and friends
